Chad did not have the heart to keep yelling in front of his future daughter-in-law, so he sat back down with a sigh. "Wallace, be good to Wendy. She's far wiser than you, and I'd feel a lot better with her helping you out."

Wallace merely nodded.

However, Wilbur could sense the implication of Chad's words. It felt like Chad was hinting at passing on his legacy.

Chad had probably handpicked this daughter-in-law to help his useless son out, and definitely respected Wendy to a certain degree.

Everyone looked toward the door. They saw a man in his fifties making his way in slowly with two people following behind him.

Shane was all smiles, waving to everyone else. "I'm sorry for my late arrival! The traffic was awful. Please forgive me."

This man sounded nothing but polite, a classic businessman who was sure to win the hearts of any stranger with ease.

Yohan said, "Butler Weiss, please have a seat."

"See? All is well. Let's get to the discussion," Yohan said.

Chad gritted his teeth but continued. "My coal mine costs at least one point two billion dollars, but you've only offered me thirty million. Isn't that a little unfair?"

"Mister Lester, thirty million is honestly a pretty generous amount. You can either take it or leave it," Shane was still all smiles as he spoke, but his words were impossibly disrespectful.

Chad almost blew up with rage, turning to Yohan. "Elder Yale, do you think this is fair?"

"It really isn't," Yohan said with a frown. "It is true that your offer is a little low, Butler Weiss. How about adding another twenty million on my behalf?"

Yohan's words caught Chad completely off guard.
