Wyatt was confused as well. He had not requested backup on the report. What were all these people doing here?

He bowed deeply, greeting the man and woman with much courtesy.

The onlookers could not help but sigh, with disappointment clear in their eyes.

All of a sudden, someone shouted, "Bunch of pigs, covering for each other!"

The rest of the crowd balked, but someone else echoed the same chant. "Bunch of pigs, covering for each other!"

All at once, the crowd began shouting the chant at the top of their lungs.

The young man smiled at Wyatt. "These townsfolk seem pretty pissed, huh?"

"They're just causing a nuisance for nothing. You know the people who live in a dump like this are nothing short of horrible," Wyatt hurried to say.

The onlookers exploded into outrage at once, letting out all the indignance and fury they had held back for so many years.

"Down with Wyatt Malcolm!"

"Down with Felix Cohen!"

"Give us the justice we deserve."

"Protect the investors!"

The crowd began to shout and chant, letting out all their frustrations.

Yet Wyatt and Felix looked absolutely disgusted by the crowd. They had armed Special Forces officers working for Lawson County on their side now. These townsfolk had it coming.
