Wilbur stuck a hand out to shake Emperor Tyler.

Emperor Tyler grabbed Wilbur's hand, pulling him inside.

Wilbur frowned but did not retaliate.

They reached the living room, where Emperor Tyler invited Wilbur to sit down before he began brewing a pot of tea on the table.

Zenith stood to the side with his head bowed as if he was about to fall asleep.

Emperor Tyler seemed to be rather skilled at brewing tea, moving with grace and expertise as if he had been trained professionally.

Not long after, he slid a cup of fragrant tea in front of Wilbur.

"Try some, Mister Penn. It's brewed pretty well if I do say so myself." Emperor Tyler was in his thirties but spoke like he was a child waiting to be praised.

Wilbur took a sip and nodded his head. "It is pretty great."

The truth was that Wilbur knew nothing about tea and could hardly tell the difference between a good cup of tea and a bad one.

Emperor Tyler chuckled, taking a sip out of his own cup as well before leaning back on the antique sofa. "I haven't gotten any visitors in a while."

Wilbur frowned.

"I guess I'm used to it, though. Come visit me as soon as you've got the time, won't you? Just remember to knock," Emperor Tyler smiled.

Wilbur asked, "Is it a sort of custom you have?"

"Well, if you knock, you're a guest. If you don't knock, you're an assassin," Emperor Tyler said.

Wilbur smiled in response. He had only knocked out of respect.

It seemed, however, that he would not even have been able to make it here if he had not knocked.

This was, after all, the royal palace. There was no way the security was that loose.

"I just came to say that I do not have the slightest interest in politics," said Wilbur.

Emperor Tyler smiled. "I know. We shouldn't concern ourselves with petty things like that."

Wilbur followed behind him.

The vault was a room of about a hundred square meters, the middle of it empty and bare.

The walls, however, were lined with display racks.

The display racks seemed to be forged out of the finest of wood, covered in runes carved onto the surface. It was clear that they definitely cost a bomb.

However, the items on them were more precious than the display racks.

The display racks to the left were filled with row after row of spell scrolls. There had to be at least a hundred of them.

Despite not knowing what level these spell scrolls were, Wilbur was pretty sure that they were nothing to be scoffed at, especially considering that Zenith had given him the Howl of the Banshee.

The display racks on the right held all kinds of weapons imaginable.

Each weapon glowed faintly with spiritual energy, and all of them clearly held powers in them.

The display racks against the wall beside the door held a few sets of armor, all of them glowing with the same spiritual energy with runes carved into them.
