As Jean Collins spoke passionately, she couldn’t help but tremble. 

Berton Snow stepped forward and embraced her. 

“Jean, Jean, I’ve been looking for you all these years. I know I’ve wronged you. Please give me another chance. Let’s start anew! I will do everything to make it up to you!” 

“I know you can’t forget me, right? Otherwise, you wouldn’t have accepted the Snow family project and taken the pink diamond I gave you!” 

Duke Austin, dressed in a black suit with a white shirt, clapped his hands as he walked over. “Tsk, tsk, tsk, Mr. Snow, you really are infatuated! But unfortunately, you’re hugging my girlfriend!” 

Since their last encounter, Berton had secretly investigated Duke’s background. 

He found that Duke came from a long line of politicians, yet he had no interest in politics, preferring to dabble in antiques and jade. He had no grand ambitions. 

Duke pulled Jean closer to him, and she instinctively linked her arm with his. 

He pointed to the pink diamond brooch on his chest. “Mr. Snow, what pink diamond? Are you talking about the token of love between Jean and me?” 

It was only then that Berton noticed the very brooch he had given to Jean years ago, now adorning 

Duke’s chest. 

He had thought Jean kept it as a memento, a sign that she couldn’t forget him. But how did it end up 

here? 

The two stood together, almost dressed as a couple, looking remarkably well–matched. 

Berton was confused. “What token of love? What do you mean by that?” 

Duke kindly draped his coat over Jean’s shoulders and leisurely replied, 

“Not just that pink diamond; you and Winni here could be considered the matchmakers for Jean and 

me.” 

“At that charity gala, I was bored out of my mind until I met the girl I want to spend my life with.

“As for your so–called memento, it’s utterly ridiculous. Mr. Snow, you’re being a bit too naive!” 

Jean smiled lightly, a hint of disdain in her expression. “What’s there about you worth my remembering? The idea of a memento is quite laughable!” 

“As for the project, who would turn down money? 

The profits from the Snow family project are straightforward. I just graduated and want to gain more experience. If not with the Snow family, I’ll design for other companies.” 

Their conversation caught the attention of those around them, and whispers began to grow louder. 

Winni rushed over, concerned for Berton. “Berton, she’s so heartless. What are you still holding 

onto?” 

The once invincible Mr. Snow in the business world had never faced such humiliation. 

Yet Berton remained undeterred. “Jean, I refuse to believe you have no feelings for me! Were those years of affection all fake?” 

It wasn’t fake, but Berton didn’t understand that no one would stand still, waiting for him. 

Not wanting to linger, Jean quickly said her goodbyes to her mentor and team before leaving. 

Duke had reserved a restaurant in advance to celebrate with Jean. 

The table was filled with all her favorite dishes, and Duke had even invited her friend Nydia Lew. 

After years apart, the two friends chatted happily, while Duke quietly listened, occasionally adding food to their plates. 

“You came back so early without looking for me!” 

“I was busy with the project for a while, and the pressure was immense. Now that the project is over, I came to see you.” 

Nydia understood the situation; after all, she still worked for the Snow family. If she got too close to Jéan, it might affect her, so she was protecting herself. 

Nydia proudly stated, “Speaking of which, I was the matchmaker for both of you. When Jean was at her lowest, it was my idea for her to go abroad!”
