At once, the PR department of Graham Group issued a statement clarifying that the rumors circulating online were baseless slander and warned that any further false claims would result in legal action.

This matter was effectively controlled in a very short period, avoiding further fallout.

Angela was relatively satisfied with it.

On her way home from work, she passed by a restaurant that served Aldairian cuisine and remembered that Fiona loved their beef stew, so she bought her a portion.

Unexpectedly, when she got home, Fiona wasn't back yet, and Dexter was sitting in the living room, busy on his computer. It was unclear what he was working on.

"You brought food for me?" He noticed the food container in Angela's hand and smiled. "Bring it here. I just happen to be hungry."

"This isn't for you." Rolling her eyes at him, Angela headed straight for the kitchen.

"I just helped you big time, and instead of thanking me, you're going to starve me." Dexter shot her a glare. "That's so unfair. You have no conscience at all."

Angela was baffled. Was he delusional? What was he talking about? Who asked for his help in anything?

While she was lost in thought, her phone rang. It was Bill.

His fury was evident even over the phone. "Angela, did you take them away? You little shit. If anything happens to her and her daughter, I won't forgive you!"

Angela glanced at Dexter, who was lounging on the couch while watching her with a faint, smug smile as if waiting to be praised.

Angela understood what had happened immediately.

"It wasn't me. Even if Dexter did do something, it also has nothing to do with me."

The moment Bill heard the name "Dexter," he immediately backed down. After a long pause, he stammered, "Y-You… They'd better be alright!"

He then hung up.

"Why on earth did you take them?" Angela asked.

Meanwhile, chaos erupted in the Graham residence.

"That's enough. Can you both stop arguing? It's getting on my nerves!"

Zack had just returned home when he saw his parents fighting on the couch.

It was an actual physical fight. The usually gentle and delicate Judy surprisingly had the upper hand, pinning Bill down and nearly pulling out the last few hairs on his head.

Zack quickly pulled his mother off of him. "What's going on? Can't you just talk things out? Why resort to violence?"

He was at a loss. Other families lived in harmony, but his was constantly bickering or fighting. It was absurd.

Judy, her face flushed with anger, shouted, "It's all because of your heartless father! He accused me of hiding that shameless mother and daughter. Do I look like I'd do that?"

With that, she broke free from Zack's grip and slapped Bill hard across the face. "Let me tell you, even if those two died, it has nothing to do with me! And don't you dare give them another cent of our family's money!"
