Angela raised an eyebrow. "We're just here to inquire about the situation. Of course, Zack and I are more or less on the same page. We're both suspicious of you and hope you can provide an explanation."

Her tone was very calm, far from accusatory. It felt more like a casual conversation between close friends over tea. On the other hand, Zack was like a rebellious guard dog, jumping around and snapping at anyone who came near.

Elena was annoyed by Angela's calm demeanor, but she didn't mind too much. She thought to herself that as long as one of the siblings could pin this on her, that would be enough.

"Such a shame. I didn't do anything, and besides, why would I possibly do such a thing?" Elena spoke indifferently, observing Angela's expression, almost as if trying to predict her next move.

Angela's expression shifted slightly. "Oh, really?"

Elena pressed her lips together. "If you suspect me, then please, Ms. Graham, provide some evidence."

"What evidence? Give me the antidote!" Zack was mad. He walked forward and looked like he was about to fight her.

"Dexter, help me!" Elena shouted toward the door, looking like she was scared by Zack. Her pitiful look made it easier to gain empathy from others, even women.

Angela was stunned. Dexter was here?

At that moment, a tall figure walked in.

Elena wiped away a tear, looking pitiful as she hid behind Dexter. "Dexter, I don't know who they've been listening to, but how could they misunderstand me like this? This is my company, and my employees have heard them too. How can I still show my face to anyone?"

Her demeanor made anyone who saw her feel like she had suffered a great injustice. But Angela wasn't moved. She had come here today to confirm a fact, and now she was pretty much certain of it.

Zack was stunned. He threw her a baffled glance, but he didn't argue. Instead, he obediently followed her like a loyal puppy, ready to leave.

"Stop right there!" Elena let out a cold laugh. "You think you can just walk away after casually slandering someone? It's not that simple!"

Angela's back stiffened slightly as she turned and calmly looked at Elena. "When did I slander you? Didn't I just say that I had a suspicion about you and that I came to ask some questions?"

Elena was momentarily speechless and bit her lip in frustration. Of course, Zack had been the one loudly throwing accusations left and right, while Angela had quietly sat there, barely saying a word.

"You two siblings, aren't you on the same side? Shouldn't you be responsible for the nonsense Zack says?" Elena's face twisted in anger. She couldn't keep her composure any longer.
