"Where's the antidote?" Bill looked very anxious, as if he was going to die without the antidote.

Angela looked at him expressionlessly. "Stop acting. Don't end up fooling yourself, or you'll end up believing your own lies. You already have the antidote."

Bill's face immediately filled with shock. "What nonsense are you spouting? You unfilial daughter! Are you trying to kill your father?"

"Huh? What's going on? Angie, what do you mean? He has the antidote?" As usual, Zack was completely lost, making him look even more like a fool.

Angela ignored him and continued speaking to Bill. "I know what you're trying to do. You and Elena have been spreading rumors, claiming I'm trying to push you out of your position prematurely to clear the way for myself. If this were before, I might've looked into it and had those rumors quashed. But now…"

She smirked, her gaze mocking as it locked onto the man in front of her.

Bill's face stiffened entirely, and a sense of foreboding rose in his chest.

"Sorry to say, but you really do need to step aside." Angela raised her eyebrows and smirked. Her eyes were filled with scorn as she looked at Bill.

Bill was dumbfounded, staring at Angela in shock. It took him a long moment to find his voice again. "You really are an ambitious person. You… You ingrate! Y-You…"

"I wouldn't call myself unfilial. If I really was, I'd have poisoned you long ago and sent you to your grave instead of leaving you alive to curse at me." Angela chuckled.

"Besides, isn't this exactly what you wanted? I'm just going along with it. You have no options now. The doctor who can save you is in my hands. Without him, you won't last more than a month or two.

"And even if you do, I'll still be able to become the CEO. I hold the most shares, after all. In the meantime, I can use my influence to acquire other minority shareholders' stocks, giving me the majority. What can you do then?"

"Dad, you've seen it yourself. Angie is merciless. If I go against her, you might leave first, but I'll be following right after. The two of us would only meet again in hell.

"Why not hand over what needs to be handed over sooner rather than later? At least you'll be able to live comfortably. Otherwise, if you continue lying in bed sick all day, who knows if someone might harm you again?"

"Shut up!" Bill bellowed, coughing violently as blood trickled from his lips, staining the bedsheets.

Zack fell silent, though his expression was a mix of embarrassment and helplessness. "I'm just stating the facts, Dad. There's no point in deceiving yourself."

"Angela, you're truly something else!" Bill spat, blood seeping from the corners of his mouth as he glared at her with deep hatred. "Your ability to win people over is impressive! Why didn't I notice this before?"
