Dexter hadn't brought up Zayn's engagement in the last few days, leading Angela to believe he had forgotten about it. She decided to take the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely Saturday, intending to sleep until she woke up in her own time.

She spent the majority of the day at home, engrossed in her favorite series. It turned out to be one of the most rejuvenating days she had experienced in a long time.

Around 4:00 pm in the afternoon, Dexter unexpectedly returned in a loud SUV, stopping right outside the house.

He pulled her up. "Come on, let's get you dressed! Time's running out, and the engagement party starts at 8:00 pm. If we leave now, we'll make it just in time."

Angela felt helpless. It turned out that he hadn't forgotten. He'd simply timed everything perfectly.

"Zayn has such a free-spirited nature. It's quite unexpected that he's chosen to settle down and get engaged."

As Angela scrolled through her phone, looking for something to pass the time, she stumbled upon the news of Zayn's engagement.

However, the media didn't reveal his fiancée's face, leaving Angela curious.

Angela was puzzled. "But… From what I understand, Zayn's mother and grandmother place a lot of importance on family background.

"Being an only child, Zayn is expected to take over the family business one day. Why didn't his family choose a wife who comes from a similar social standing?"

Dexter paused for a moment, letting out a soft sigh. "Zayn spent an entire day kneeling outside Mrs. Jewell Senior's room, pleading for her to give her approval. There's still no guarantee they can get married."

Angela was shocked. She'd always thought Zayn was a typical playboy with countless ex-girlfriends. It surprised her that he would do something so unexpected for a woman he met at university.
