Angela grabbed a glass of hot milk and went upstairs, where she noticed the study door was slightly open. She could hear Dexter's voice from inside.

"What would I need you for if you can't locate him?"

"Surely you can find either Gideon Lawson or Austin Howard, can't you?"

"You're so useless."

Angela stood frozen, struck by his words. She couldn't help but wonder what his intentions were and if he was helping her find them.

Her mentor, Gideon, and her senior, Austin, were the two people who had once cared about her the most. Yet, she hadn't seen them in many years.

She was stunned. After a moment of contemplation, she quietly turned and walked away. It struck her how little she truly knew about Dexter.

She couldn't fathom how he could act in such a way, considering he was known to be a cold-hearted man. Yet, in that critical moment, he had even jumped and saved her from possible death.

Angela's thoughts were chaotic. She even wondered if Dexter had been possessed.

Someone knocked on the door, snapping Angela back to reality as the household staff went to answer it.

Zack entered angrily and sat down on the couch. He exclaimed in frustration, "They're acting ridiculous, aren't they? We're Dad's biological kids, so how can we not care about him?

"Although I may not be the most devoted, I'm not much worse than others. I keep running into annoying reporters outside your company. They keep asking for my thoughts on this situation, and it's exhausting. When will this end?"

Angela was irritated when she heard this. "I'll deal with it now. Just be quiet. It's annoying."

The moment had come for her to set the record straight. In an instant, she shared Bill's medical record from the hospital on Twitter, stating, "We are all doing well."

A concise statement that prompted reflection was all that was needed.

"I can't believe that damned woman had another plan ready," he exclaimed coldly. He sounded so angry that it was as if he could strangle Angela to death.

Francis helplessly remarked, "Ms. Graham has the Bamford family supporting her now. She might have an expert backing her too. She's not the weak and timid woman she once was."

Andrew sneered. "She's just lucky."

Francis couldn't help but feel that Angela was more than just fortunate. She skillfully countered every move Andrew and the others played against her, leaving them powerless.

He contemplated that perhaps betraying Andrew in favor of Angela wouldn't be such a terrible move. Andrew was only getting older, and it was only a matter of time before Angela drove him out of the company.

Without Andrew's leadership, the remaining followers would likely falter and fail to accomplish anything significant.

Just then, Andrew's phone rang.
