After dinner, Angela and the others had left. Joseph called Trevor to the study.

"Trevor, if you want to give Angela a gift, why not present it yourself? Why does it have to come from me?" Joseph asked, puzzled.

Trevor chuckled. "Grandpa, didn't you ask me this question a few days ago? I was concerned that she wouldn't accept the gift if I gave it to her since she's still upset with me. I just wanted to make her happy."

Joseph looked at him helplessly. "If you'd been... Forget it. It's important to admit mistakes and correct them. Just be kind in the future. Alright?"

Trevor nodded in agreement and spent some time sitting with Joseph. Then, he left.

The bracelet was indeed from him. It had a special effect, and as long as she continued to wear it, its effects would soon reveal themselves. Trevor eagerly anticipated that moment.

On the way back, Angela constantly glanced at the bracelet on her wrist, occasionally using her phone's flashlight to admire the floating flowers inside. It was stunning.

"Why didn't you mention sooner that you love bracelets? I'll buy you a bunch of them tomorrow." Dexter glanced at her. Seeing her happy made him speechless.

Angela pouted. "What do you know? This is a gift from Grandpa. It's not just beautiful. It also carries a subtle, indescribable fragrance."

Dexter snorted. "It's impossible for the bracelet to emit any fragrance. It likely comes from the scent of the box where Grandpa stored it."

Angela ignored him. As she neared home, she suddenly remembered that Dexter's birthday was in two days.

"I asked Joanne to book a club at our branch company and invited your friends. You must join us when the time comes." The smile on her face lingered. When she gazed at him, her eyes sparkled, enhancing her gentle and enchanting beauty.

"Why do I get the impression that you've done something wrong, feel guilty about it, and are attempting to make amends?" Dexter asked out of the blue.

Angela found it amusing. "Don't worry. I'm not guilty at all. Absolutely not."

At the venue, a large group of men and women gathered. When Dexter arrived, two people rushed to unveil a huge "Happy Birthday" banner while everyone sang the song loudly.

Simultaneously, someone set off confetti and party poppers. It was quite cheesy. Yet, everyone was very enthusiastic and energetic.

Dexter's expression was truly a sight to behold. He pursed his lips and looked helplessly at Angela, who was clapping with excitement beside him.

He found himself at a loss for words. He wondered how she could be both cheesy and adorable at the same time.
