“This is absurd.” Dexter shot a cold glare at Angela on the stage. 

“Miss, are you questioning the professionalism of our judging panel?” Benton was clearly displeased. He had seen Angela’s designs and understood her talent. 

Shelley’s face flushed crimson. She was momentarily at a loss for words. 

At this moment, Elena stood up. “Ms. Rutherford is simply curious. Ms. Graham is an amateur. How could the judges be so taken with her work?” 

She voiced the unspoken doubts of everyone present. 

Just then, the screen displayed an exquisite jewelry design. It was Angela’s entry for the competition. 

Whether it was painting or design, Angela’s style had always been bold and innovative. She had a talent for using contrasting colors in striking ways. 

The core and emotion behind her work were intense, direct, and vibrant. Her design could capture the viewers‘ attention instantly. 

A hushed silence fell over the room. 

The expressions of the crowd were mixed. Even Dexter seemed momentarily taken aback. 

He had just suspected that the organizers had given Angela an unfair advantage because of his connection. 

But at that moment, he suddenly realized that Angela, who was standing in front of her beautiful design, calm and unshaken by the doubts and ridicule, was even more brilliant than her own artwork. 

Was he out of his mind? How could he have such a thought?

There were two other presenters besides Dexter. One was the CEO of Zephyr Corporation, at sharp and professional man in his 50s. The other was a 30–something entrepreneur surnamed Snowden, whom Angela didn’t know well. 

Of the two, the older CEO sat next to Dexter. They occasionally chatted and clearly had a good rapport. 

The other man, however, seemed to keep to himself. He was distant from the others and not aligned with Dexter. 

without hesitation, Angela smiled politely. “Would you kindly do me the honor, Mr. 

Snowden?” 

Once again, the room erupted in surprise. 

“Dexter, how could she…” Elena’s face paled. 

She had initially thought Angela had participated in the competition to grab Dexter’s attention. But instead, Angela had chosen Callum Snowden–the very person who was known to be at odds with Dexter. 

Dexter’s expression darkened. He was, after all, Angela’s husband, yet she had chosen to have Callum present her award in front of everyone.. 

“With pleasure.” Callum stood up gracefully and headed toward the stage. 

As he passed Dexter, there was the faintest, almost imperceptible curve of his lips. 

Callum was tall. Standing next to Angela, he seemed like a towering figure. 

He accepted the trophy from the ceremonial hostesses and handed it to Angela with both hands. He leaned in and said, “Keep up the good work.”
