"Hey, do I look like I'll lose my composure that easily?" Angela scoffed as she prepared to get out of the car. "But don't blame me for being ruthless if he doesn't fall in line. Since you've entrusted the matter to me, stay out of it and just play along when the time comes."

Seeing her confidence, Dexter was at a loss for words. "Just act accordingly, okay?"

As Angela nodded casually, she asked, "Were you the one who took Trevor away?"

Dexter responded with silence. Until now, he still suspected that Trevor was behind the scheme against Angela, causing her injuries. Since Trevor had ended up in his hands, there was no way he would let this opportunity pass by.

After briefly handing over company affairs, Angela took Joanne to Emerelda Jewelries, the subsidiary under Bamford Co.

Although it was just a subsidiary, it was anything but small—judging by the two towers that made up the office alone. Angela was stunned by the sight of the skyscraper when she got to the office. Even Graham Group's office wasn't as tall and imposing.

At this moment, Hank Brown, a pot-bellied man in his 40s, hurried out of the building anxiously. "Chop chop, Mr. Rosewell can't wait much longer."

He was followed by two workers pulling carts out with great speed.

The boxes in the carts were translucent. One could vaguely see that they contained antiques and crystal vases.

Angela knew this subsidiary wasn't only in charge of producing emerald jewelry but also selling various precious antiques. Any of the items inside easily cost a fortune.

"What's going on?" Angela walked up and stopped Hank.

"Who do you think you are? Mr. Rosewell requested these." Hank dismissed her with a flick of his hand.

"These belong to the company," Angela said coldly. "How could it simply be given to others?"

Hank sneered. "The whole company belongs to Mr. Rosewell. What's a few crystal vases? Now scram."

"Officer, they are responsible for the theft of company assets that cost at least tens of millions of dollars. What would their sentence be?" Angela asked.

"We can't say for sure. It will be up to the judge to decide," the young policeman said with a smile.

As they reached the police station, the one behind this ruckus finally showed up.

Dressed in a black suit and wearing sunglasses, Felix Rosewell angrily strode toward Hank.

"What happened? Who did this?" he questioned.

Hank timidly glanced at Angela and replied, "It was her. She filed the police report."
