As she finished speaking, Fiona shot a quick glance at the woman sitting beside Dexter. She added coldly, “You’d better keep your distance from women like her. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” 

Dexter was taken aback. 

What was going on? 

He couldn’t help but wonder if Angela had cast some spell on Fiona. 

How did she manage to change Fiona’s opinion of her so quickly? 

Dexter was irritated. 

It wasn’t just Angela cozying up to Fiona—she was also working for DawnStar Design, his rival company. The owner of DawnStar Design, Callum Snowden, was the only person he truly considered a competitor in the industry. 

The design industry was relatively niche. Therefore, every time their names were mentioned together, it was always in a way compared against each other–one being praised at the expense of the other. 

So, how could he allow Angela to bring DawnStar’s employees into his event? How could they sit on his turf, grinning as if they belonged? 

Meanwhile, Angela cleared her throat, signaling for Alan to keep his voice down. She didn’t want to attract too much attention. 

Alan leaned in closer and whispered, “Ms. Graham, did you see Nora’s and her team’s faces just now? You could see the jealousy written all over their faces! They thought they had it in the bag just because Ms. Carrey helped them get inside. Bet they didn’t expect we’d get Madam Fiona herself to back us!” 

George chimed in. “Exactly! I honestly think those in Division Two have some issues. Why are they always trying to compete with us?” 

“Alright, let’s focus. Could everyone please review the handouts that you’ve received- each of you should have a copy. They include all the training materials for this week, and there will be a test later on. 

“We didn’t come all this way for nothing. Let’s make. the most out of it and give it our best. Got it?” Angela said sternly. 

As she spoke, she realized that everyone was focused on her words. However, their attention seemed to have shifted toward the end of her sentence. 

She turned to look at Alan, who gestured toward the direction behind her, signaling that

“Angela, come with me.” Dexter’s voice echoed from behind her. 

The both of them made their way outside the hall and stopped near the stairs. 

Dexter got straight to the point. “Take your team and leave right now. I’ll arrange for the speakers to give a talk at DawnStar Design another time,” he said. His tone was firm and authoritative, a tone that never failed to irritate Angela. 

She immediately shook her head. 

“You!” Dexter’s expression darkened with frustration. “Do you always have to go against me? I told you not to come, and yet here, you are! And you had the nerve to involve Mom in this! Do you really think I can’t put a stop to this?” he said, clenching his jaw in irritation. 

Angela sighed. “What about Elena’s group? They didn’t have tickets either, but they got in just fine. So, why can’t we? 

“Besides, everyone saw what happened back there. If I leave now, it’s not just me and my colleagues who’ll be humiliated; it’ll reflect poorly on Mom as well. Do you really want me to do that just to make Elena feel good?” 

She looked at him silently, her expression neutral. However, it somehow made her vulnerable and upset.

With that, he turned sharply and stormed off. 

As soon as he left, Angela regained her usual composure. Her earlier display of emotion was completely gone. 

The two guest speakers invited by Bamford Co were internationally renowned designers. They both had a strong appreciation for the culture of Aurion, the region where Aldairia was located. Therefore, they had chosen their own Aldairian names. 

The female speaker’s name was Marilyn Patterson, and the male speaker’s name was Simon Rutherford.
