Mackenzie urgently called out. 

She knew Rhett had been poisoned, but he should still be able to dodge 

Envoy Amethyst’s blade. He did not need to block it for her.

veered off course, missing Rhett by inches. 

What just happened? 

Envoy Amethyst could not believe her eyes. Startled, she looked toward the 

source of the strange force. 

“Emmanuel!!” 

Lexi’s voice broke the silence, her surprise evident. 

Mackenzie’s eyes reddened with emotion. 

What an unexpected and wonderful surprise! 

“Haha, you came to steal my spotlight again! However, this time, I’ll let it 

slide!” 

Quintus let out a hearty laugh, launching a punch toward Envoy Amethyst.

“I am fine. Go check on Rhett. His injuries are worse!” 

Mackenzie quickly urged. 

Emmanuel nodded, gently setting her down on a chair before hurrying to 

check Rhett’s injuries. 

Though the wounds were gruesome and there had been a lot of blood lost, 

they were only flesh wounds for someone of Rhett’s strength. They were not 

fatal. 

“Rhett, I truly owe you my thanks this time!” 

As Emmanuel treated Rhett’s wounds, he expressed his gratitude.

“Thank me? This is my duty. However, what about you? Were you not 

supposed to protect Mr. Hale? What made you come here?” 

Rhett asked calmly. 

“I was worried. You are all great at combat, but going up against the Five 

Poison Sect would put you at a disadvantage. I am glad I made it in time!” 

As Emmanuel spoke, he took out silver needles to help Rhett counteract the 

poison. 

He was still worried that the Five Poison Sect might launch a larger attack, 

and he and Quintus would not be able to fend them off alone. 

Luckily, as Emmanuel worked to cure everyone, the enemy forces fell quiet. It 

seemed Envoy Amethyst had been the leader of this operation. 

“Emmanuel, make sure you cure Mr. Willy as well.” 

Once Mackenzie had been treated, she spoke up, saying, “He may not be 

involved in this incident.”

Ken was overjoyed to have survived, profusely thanking Emmanuel. 

“Do not thank me just yet.” 

Emmanuel’s expression darkened. His voice was cold as he continued, “I 

saved you, but I can just as easily kill you!”

Ken was shocked. He panicked and stammered, “Mr. Lowe, there is no grudge 

between us. Why would you want to kill me?”

Although Mackenzie had just said Ken might not be involved, she now joined

Emmanuel in questioning him. “This happened at your home, and someone 

poisoned your wine. Do not tell me you had no idea!”

Ken was visibly flustered, stammering like someone who had lost their

banquet. I will thoroughly investigate this and give you a full explanation!” 

Mackenzie studied his expression as she continued to press him. “You really 

had no knowledge of this?” 

“Of course not!” 

Ken insistently said, “If I had known the wine was poisoned, would I have 

drunk it myself? I have no grudge against you, Ms. Quillen. Why would I risk 

my life to harm you?” 

Mackenzie looked to Emmanuel for confirmation. 

Emmanuel nodded. It was clear that Ken had been poisoned just like them,

If Emmanuel had not cured him in time, Ken would have died from the

Ken promised, sounding very sincere.
