Emmanuel had never seen this side of him before. Even when Magnus had

Magnus, still holding her hand, gently reassured her, “Hattie, stop talking and 

rest. Just wait for the surgery. You’ll make it through this, I promise. You don’t 

need to say anything more.” 

Hattie nodded again, and Magnus tenderly wiped the tears from her face. 

Emmanuel soon left the room. He didn’t need to leave the house entirely, just 

made a few calls to his team to get the medical equipment delivered. So, he
