“Mackenzie? Mackenzie!” After searching around, Emmanuel quickly called

her number, but he didn’t expect to be blocked.

still angry at you?” Claudette was concerned about him.

“You don’t have to apologize, Ms. Lenoir. I will explain everything to her.”

His response left Claudette with mixed emotions. While she did possess a

competitive spirit toward Mackenzie, she had no deliberate intentions of

deceit. It was beyond her expectations to see Mackenzie at her house today.

However, based on Mackenzie’s expression earlier that day, Claudette was

certain they both had developed feelings for the same man.

“Okay. You can always call me if you need anything,” she added.

Emmanuel forced a smile without responding. Even if he was clueless, he

could tell that Mackenzie held hostility toward Claudette. As such, if he asked

Claudette to explain, it would probably make things worse.

However, he hadn’t done anything wrong, and he was still worried about

Mackenzie’s safety. He then asked, “Ms. Lenoir, if you have Mackenzie’s

contact, please tell her to come home. She has blocked me, and I’m really

worried about her.”

“Sure!” Claudette agreed.

After hanging up the phone, she bit her lip and sent a message to Mackenzie 

upon Emmanuel’s request.

Yet, she never expected that her man would spend a night in the wilderness

with another woman and even carry her home. Is it that difficult for them to
