Chapter 474
Not long after Mackenzie had the drink, she felt her vision blur. The next
moment, she collapsed on the table with a thud.
“D–Did you just drug me?”
Mackenzie had been on her guard, but Tobias outsmarted her. She only
drank after watching him drink the wine. To her surprise, she was the one
Hosing her consciousness instead of him.
As a well–educated daughter from a wealthy family, she had always known
that eating the antidote that could prevent one from getting poisoned was
merely a fictional plot. Modern medical science proved that it was unrealistic.
“Haha! Ms. Quillen, people have been praising you for your wisdom, but it
seems like they’re exaggerating.” Tobias burst into laughter. “We drank the
wine from the same bottle, but we did not use the same glass. Surprise,
surprise!”
“Screw you!” Mackenzie was overconfident. She assumed that Tobias
wouldn’t use such a dirty trick against her, but he had proved her wrong.
Meanwhile, the drug was kicking in. She didn’t have enough power to yell for
help. Furthermore, Emmanuel couldn’t hear her even if she managed to
shout.
What am I supposed to do?
“No wonder people call you the most beautiful woman in Yeringham. You live
up to your name. The gorgeous face, the curvy body, and the smooth skin… It
must be an enjoyable sensation to leave a mark on your skin, eh?” Tobias
teased as he licked his lips. Desire erupted in his lower abdomen.
He had slept with many women before, from servants to cabin crew,
university students to policewomen. However, the most beautiful CEO in
Yeringham was the first.
Things will change today. Not even Hubert and Quintus can turn her head,
but she’s now at my mercy!
Tobias‘ cheeks flushed in excitement at the thought.
“I have to record such a wonderful moment.”
He had a habit of taking videos of the women he slept with. Sleeping with
Mackenzie was a once–in–a–lifetime opportunity. He couldn’t guarantee
there would be a second time. Therefore, he had to shoot a video, so he
could relive the moment from time to time.
to lose consciousness.
“Help me, Emmanuel…” Her words came out in a whisper before she
eventually passed out.
“Mackenzie! Darling!” As if he could hear Mackenzie crying for help, Emmanuel
rushed into the villa in anxiety.
Just when he was about to barge into the villa, Felix stopped him in his tracks.
A group of professional bodyguards stood behind Felix.
“Go away! Nobody gets in my way!”
Emmanuel immediately punched the bodyguards and knocked out a few
men as a result. He didn’t dare to or want to waste his time on them.
The bodyguards couldn’t help but back off in a panic at the sight of the man
who had probably gone mad.
It wasn’t only because of Emmanuel’s skill. They could tell he would kill
anyone who got in his way.
Even after working for the Lenoir family for years, the bodyguards had never
seen a man as crazy as Emmanuel.
