"Oh! Thank you," Molly said, relieved that she wasn't too late. She hurried towards the plane which had the logo of the Dragon Empire Group.

She climbed up the descended stairs and stepped into the plane only to stare dumbfoundedly at the person seated comfortably inside. With her mouth wide open, she blinked her eyes twice to make sure she wasn't hallucinating. Staring at Brian's surprised face, she asked the first thing that came to mind, "What are you doing here?"

Brian frowned and asked indifferently, "I should be asking you that."

"I...um..." Molly stammered, confused as to what was going on.

"I promised Little Molly that I would take her to Sun Island," Eric said, as he walked out of the cockpit and towards Molly with a grin. He beckoned Lenny to take Molly's suitcase to the luggage section and showed Molly to the seat beside his. He fastened her seatbelt carefully and then sat back on his seat next to her.

The trio remained silent and the pilot announced that the plane was about to take off.

The plane rose up slowly into the gloomy sky as each passenger had mixed feelings about the trip. The captain's voice broke the silence as he announced the weather conditions and the expected arrival time.

Molly looked at Brian sideways and then stared at Eric angrily. Her eyes looked like they were about to burst into flames of rage. She raised her eyebrow and signed to him through her eyes, 'Why is he here?'

Eric grinned. "Well, Brian has some business in Sun Island too," Eric said loudly. He had no intention to keep his voice down.

Molly jumped in her seat and rolled her eyes at his petty display. At the same time, she stole a glance at Brian, but he was completely unaffected by Eric's words. He hadn't spared a glance at her since the plane took off.

"Why are you so afraid?" asked Eric, leisurely leaning into his seat. He looked deep into her eyes, while she furiously gritted her teeth at him. He smirked and said, "Oh, come on! You and my brother are already divorced. You are single now. You are free to date any man you like."

If looks could kill, Eric would have been dead by now.

Molly felt her blood pressure rising sharply as she glared angrily at Eric and she managed to squeeze out a few words through her gnashed teeth, "Eric, could you stop talking? No one would think that you are mute if you keep your mouth shut for a while."

Eric nodded in agreement, and dramatically closed his lip. He took a piece of paper from the table in front of him and handed it to Molly.

Molly looked at him suspiciously and took the paper from him. She read the first words and it was titled "A Sweet Trip with Little Molly".

Molly stared at the cheesy title and then looked blankly at Eric's smug face. She didn't even know how to react to his outrageous actions.

Molly shifted her gaze towards Eric and winked her eyes several times gently. He was once an untamed boy who always emitted a dangerous aura. But now, his eyes were filled with sorrow and regret. Her heart lurched and she said slowly, "Eric..." Her annoyance towards Brian had dissipated because of Eric's words. She was sitting in front of the man who ruled the Dragon Island, but at the moment, he looked so very vulnerable. She felt incredibly guilty for being the reason of his grief.

"It's all right, Little Molly. This is my choice and I can live with it. You don't need to look so guilty," Eric said with a smile at the corners of his lips. "If there is something that you long for so desperately, then you have to fight for it. Even though the end result might not be in your favor, at least, you'll know that you did your absolute best. And that thought alone is enough to live the rest of your life without any regrets."

Molly looked intently into his sparkling eyes. She felt as though he was playing a catalytic role in persuading her and Brian to fight for what they were longing for, but at the same time, she also truly felt that pursuing her was what he wished to do more than anything else.

There was silence in the plane once again. Molly didn't know how to respond to Eric. Also, there was no way for her to fake anything in front of Brian because he always saw right through her.

Brian stayed silent throughout the flight. He looked at the sky through the glass. The window refracted the dazzling sunlight and created a spectrum of colorful lights.

But the beautiful lights did nothing to soothe his inner mood. At the moment, his heart was in a chaos. It was possible that Eric was acting to rile him, but he could not completely rule out the possibility that he was seriously trying to gain Molly's acceptance.

Eric was right. Since Brian was out of the picture, Molly could be with any man she wanted. And Eric would be perfect for her, though Brian did not want to accept that truth one bit. He was inclined to agree with him that Mark's future would be safe if they were with Eric. There was a faint hint of self-mockery deep in his black pupils.
