"I need you to get in touch with Tiana Melford. She's a whiz with hacking techniques. Maybe she can use the signal from the cell tower that sent this text to locate the phone. That could lead us to where your mom went missing!"

Whitney paused for a moment, then nodded and turned to contact Tiana, who was over in Banyan City.

"Tiana, are you free right now? I really need your help with something..."

"Whitney, what's going on?..."

While Parker was on the phone with the traffic police, Ludwik asked Erik, "Did you put a tracker on the bulletproof car that the chairman was using?"

Erik shook his head. "The car was sourced internally from Inko Group. Ms. Tennyson doesn't trust anyone in the company. She orchestrated Bryce's capture to keep everything under wraps. If there was a tracker, it might have left a trail. But now, it seems like Inko Group has a mole who leaked her departure."

"Ms. Tennyson was too anxious, and that was her mistake," Ludwik noted.

Erik gave a wry smile. "She returned to Harmonia Country all alone and fell into a trap. She wanted to break the deadlock, but being stuck in the company was no solution. Who would've thought Bryce would push them to the brink!"

Ludwik nodded, a steely glint in his eyes. "I get it now. They were trying to cover their tracks after their scheme was found out."

Ludwik didn't hesitate to assure Erik. In less than an hour, Parker called back, "I used my uncle's connections and talked to the traffic department. I've pulled up all the surveillance on this road. The first half shows the car Parisa was in passing through, but it disappears around the Ethereal Mountain Road junction. There's no trace of it until the paternity testing facility. Whitney, already on edge, grabbed Ludwik's phone, studied the map, and started running north, 100 meters in that direction.

"Whitney," Ludwik called, following along with two bodyguards.

Whitney crossed the overpass and looked down at the marshland below. She hurried down and searched for a bit, then waved Ludwik over. "Tiana said the location is right here!"

"Guards, fish it out," Ludwik ordered, squinting at the ominous marshland.

By now, the sky had darkened. Before long, a bodyguard emerged from the muck with a briefcase. "Mr. Lippert, take a look at this!"
