Florence smirked, the kind of smirk that said she was up to no good. Whitney, with her reputation as the town's scandalous woman, was still a mystery as to why Bryce was so obsessed with her. Did he really think he could win her over?

But really, Whitney's fate was sealed. Her mom had passed away, her man was behind bars, and she was left with nothing.

Meanwhile, Florence was basking in all the luxury and wealth she could ever want.

The wheel of fortune turns, and it's all about who gets the last laugh.

At 8:40 PM, Whitney was driving back from the "funeral home" when she got a call from Parker. "Whitney, my sources tell me Bryce is throwing a big bash at the Palace Club tonight. He's wining and dining the bigwigs from Emperor City, and a few Inko Group shareholders who are looking to jump ship."

Whitney listened quietly, sensing there was more to come.

Sure enough, Parker chuckled coldly. "I just saw the buzz online—Inko Group’s having a shareholder meeting tomorrow. Bryce's got his eye on you, thinking you're out of the picture since you just left the Grand Canyon. He's ready to make his move."

Whitney quickly checked the news on her phone, and there it was. Several media outlets were hyping up tomorrow's Inko Group shareholder meeting as a major event.

Choosing tomorrow as the day was a trap Bryce had walked right into.

He and Florence must think they're untouchable now.

Whitney gripped her phone tightly. "Mr. Doonan, let's turn the tables on them. We’ll make them think they’ve got the upper hand, and then we’ll strike. Although, Ludwik is still locked up..."

"Don't worry about that," Parker reassured her. "My uncle's got it covered."

Parker peeked into Parisa’s hospital room, waiting for his uncle to finish a private conversation with her. When they were done, he cleared his throat.

Parker, keeping a straight face, entered the room to wheel his uncle out.

Amid the chatter and excitement, a Rolls-Royce pulled up. Out stepped Florence and Bryce, looking every bit the power couple. Florence wore a sharp little suit, her doe eyes twinkling with amusement.

Bryce looked every bit the dashing gentleman, suave and polished.

They were flanked by a team of secretaries, bodyguards, and lawyers, making quite the entrance.

Inside the Inko Group hall, two shareholders rushed to greet them, introducing them to the staff with knowing nods. “Everyone, this is Ms. Tennyson’s daughter, Florence. She and Mr. Lutz are here representing the late Ms. Tennyson at today’s shareholder meeting. Ah, Mr. Lutz, please, right this way.”

“Mr. Liam, you’re too kind,” Bryce replied, feigning politeness while exchanging pleasantries with the shareholders. “We should head to the main conference room and get started.”

The shareholders, who had turned their backs on Phineas, eagerly escorted them to the meeting room.

But as soon as they opened the door, Bryce and Florence were taken aback. Standing at the head of the conference table was someone they hadn’t expected to see, and their expressions immediately soured.
