"Elaine, did you have anything to do with my mom's abduction from Skyfaith Hospital?" Ludwik's voice cut through the air with icy directness.

"What? Isn't your mom resting up at the villa? Why on earth would she be at Skyfaith Hospital? Ludwik, I've been laid up here at TriMed Hospital nursing my injuries. You haven’t even dropped by to check on me. How could I possibly know anything about this? Could it be that her health took a turn for the worse? Abduction?" Elaine's voice was weak, brimming with worry and innocence.

Ludwik's gaze hardened as he turned to Whitney.

After hanging up the phone, he wasn’t one to leap to conclusions without evidence. He immediately instructed Felix, "Pull the surveillance footage from the hallway outside Elaine’s room. I want footage from 1 PM today until now. I need to see if she ever left her room!"

This would directly verify whether Elaine had any involvement in Natalie's kidnapping.

However, the truth was, after speeding through the footage, Felix found no evidence of Elaine leaving her room.

"Mr. Lippert, Elaine was wearing a red dress. We could see her occasionally passing by the doorway, but she never left. Though, there was a nurse wearing a mask who went into and out of Elaine's room around half-past two."

Whitney leaned in, utterly convinced that Elaine had indeed visited Natalie's room and likely had a confrontation with Sammy, resulting in Sammy’s abduction.

Whitney squinted her eyes in determination.

Yet, Ludwik had already made up his mind, his piercing gaze fixed on Whitney, "Elaine hasn't left TriMed Hospital, so what else do you have to say?"

"There’s definitely something fishy about Elaine…" Parker chimed in.

"Then explain, what's fishy? Danny handed Whitney's phone to my mom, and she managed to contact her, threatening her to leave her room. Next thing we know, she's abducted at the staircase. Isn't it obvious?" Ludwik interrogated Whitney.

"It's not like that! The phone wasn’t even from Danny to Natalie…" Whitney was in turmoil, knowing well that both Sammy and Natalie were abducted.

Sammy had witnessed Elaine assaulting Natalie in the room, and his fate now seemed grim.

"Then who gave the phone to my mom? What kind of scheme did you plot in that room to coax my mother into walking out just to be kidnapped?"

Ludwik's grip tightened around her neck, his frustration boiling over at the thought of choking the truth out of her.

Whitney struggled for breath, her face turning pale as her eyes welled up with tears, gazing at the man before her with a mix of heartbreak and disillusion.

"Mom's not well enough to leave her room, Whitney. I swear, if anything happens to her, you’ll wish I had ended you! Where is she?" Ludwik's grip intensified.

"Let her go, Ludwik, just let her go!" Tiana ran over, knowing the stakes were high, and Whitney couldn't disclose Sammy's involvement.

"Take her away!" Ludwik commanded, his heart turning to stone as he handed Whitney over to his security.

Ludwik stood frozen. The only thing resonating in his mind was 'another son.'

Had he heard her right? Another son, Sammy?

His heart seemed to stop, then thrashed wildly as he stared at the woman in front of him, his mind buzzing.

As the noise faded, he regained a semblance of sense, his hands gripping her tightly.

Whitney was dragged aside by him, a storm of emotions swirling between them.

Ludwik's heart pounded against his chest, a shock reverberating in his mind that made him tread so carefully, made him disbelieve.

He licked his dry lips, pressing the woman for answers, "What are you talking about? Who's Sammy?"

"Your youngest son! He didn't die..." Whitney closed her eyes tightly, knowing she had to reveal everything now.

"Three years ago, I fought through hell to give birth, not knowing there were twins. You hid that from me, right from the start of the pregnancy! That night, the one you took and left behind was Danny, the elder. And here I thought there was only one. When I jumped into the sea, my soul was in turmoil, ready to die, taking the younger with me! But fate had other plans... A yacht owned by Orion happened to spot us; he secretly saved us. Sammy, though, was hanging by a thread. Afterward, we fled abroad... It took three years for Sammy to recover, but he's been left with asthma. Three years later, I returned with Sammy, unaware I had given birth to twins. Elaine was the first to discover this. She and Jarvis planned to kidnap Danny. That night, both our sons were taken! You saved Danny in the cave, but I thought he was Sammy. Thankfully..." Whitney's heart clenched at the memory, tears filling her eyes, "Thankfully, a mother's intuition is strong. Tiana sensed something was wrong and led me to the sealed-off cavern, where we found Sammy, barely alive from an asthma attack."

With these revelations, Whitney couldn't help but harbor resentment...
