Babur, who had been relatively calm up until now, felt even more at ease.

"Let's head out. Nothing to see here. Total waste of a trip," Edna muttered.

Just as the group was about to hop back into their car and leave—

"Hey, isn't that Babur?" A cheerful voice called out from not too far away. An elderly man was waving at Babur with a smile.

Babur squinted and then his eyes widened in shock, "Mr. Lorenzo?! What are you doing here?!"

Mr. Lorenzo was a legend in the Computer Science department at Kingswell University, long since retired.

Babur had taken his course during his undergrad years and had stayed on as a faculty member, turning their relationship from that of student and teacher to colleagues. They had remained on good terms.

Just last week, Babur had called to check in on Lorenzo.

"Weren't you off to Thornhaven for the winter? How come…"

Lorenzo chuckled, "Couldn't get used to it. After spending a lifetime in Lumina City, everywhere else just seems lacking."

"And you're here because?"

"Oh, Hans invited me to check out the excitement. So, here I am, joining the crowd."
