Summary of Chapter 754 from Love Burned, She Rose Unscathed

Chapter 754 marks a crucial moment in Sophia Harper’s Romance novel, Love Burned, She Rose Unscathed. This chapter blends tension, emotion, and plot progression to deliver a memorable reading experience — one that keeps readers eagerly turning the page.

The past couple of days had been a breeze for Grandma. Staying at the villa seemed to do wonders for her; her eyesight was sharper, and the aches in her back had all but disappeared. She spent her days with a cheerful grin, savoring every bite of the food.

Grandpa, on the other hand, took things up a notch. He called in the family’s private doctor, driver, and even a bodyguard, clearly setting the stage for a long stay.

Madge had been a bit worried that Norris might not be used to having them around. But to her surprise—

“Why wouldn’t I be?” Norris chuckled. “Grandma’s helping me with the garden, and Grandpa’s here to play a couple of rounds of chess with me.”

Norris had been fretting about having nothing to do over winter break. Madge was often holed up in the study typing away at her keyboard. But now, he not only had a gardening buddy but also a chess partner.

Madge couldn’t help but smile wryly. “Guess I was overthinking it.”

Norris just grinned. “Heh.”

Roseanne stayed for a couple of days before heading back to Lumina City. She had unfinished experiments and a paper that needed to be submitted before the holidays.

Like any parent, Norris couldn’t stand the thought of his daughter leaving empty-handed. He packed her suitcase to the brim with jars of his homemade beef jerky and sauce. So Roseanne left feeling light-hearted but with a suitcase much heavier than when she arrived.

Mamie got wind of Roseanne’s arrival and was already at the train station in her newly acquired BMW 3 Series to pick her up. Yes, Mamie had bought herself a car.

Duke had originally planned to get her a Ferrari, having picked out a flashy model called "La Ferrara" or something like that. Duke knew little about cars, but he knew money and figured going for the priciest option couldn’t go wrong!

Mamie politely declined, though. “A student should look like a student,” she insisted. “Keep it low-key.”

So, she ended up at the dealership herself and drove away with a BMW, a sensible choice that offered great value for money.

Scales had gone with her to choose the car. After the purchase, Mamie turned to him, “Caley, don’t you think I’m quite the savvy shopper?”

Scales was about to respond when she added, “You should take notes.”

That last part seemed to be the main point.

Scales just sighed. “…”

“By the way, do you want to get a car yourself? It’s a long commute from the apartment to the lab, and taking the subway there and a cab back is a hassle.”

Scales opened his mouth but found himself at a loss for words.

Mamie noticed his hesitation and assumed it was due to a tight budget. “How about I buy you one?”

A $20,000-30,000 car wasn’t a big deal.

Mamie chuckled. “I’ve been practicing a lot these past days!”

“Did you practice alone?”

Mamie shook her head. “Nope, Caley was with me.”

“Oh~”

Mamie dropped Roseanne off at the entrance to her street. In return, Roseanne handed over some jars of beef sauce and jerky.

“Wow! Smells amazing…”

Mamie had no resistance when it came to food.

“Um…” She hesitated.

Roseanne noticed her pause. “What’s up? Just say it.”

“Well… isn’t there any for Caley?”
