Damien gave Anne quite a big sum of money in order for the latter to keep his meeting with Theresa a secret. He also had Anne call Clarissa again at night and inform Clarissa of her mother waking up from coma.

Despite her confusion, Anne agreed and didn’t ask any questions.

Damien then ordered his assistants to do a thorough background check on Steven Johnson.

Six years ago, Damien injured his cornea by accident. The hospital told him there was a shortage of corneas, so he was forced to wait.

He didn’t tell anyone about his condition, not even his grandparents.
