Damien had wasted a trip to Florin. When he got back to Genovia, it was already past work hours. He went to the office with his hands in his pockets.

Ray was also one of the people heading toward the exits.

“You’re back? What did you go off for?” he asked Damien.

“Went to get married.”

Damien’s casual words turned the heads of everyone at the office.

They started muttering curiously, “Mr. Lawrence got married?”

“Shouldn’t it be that he got remarried? Who else could it be with but Clarissa?”

“Isn’t Clarissa engaged to someone else, though?”

“What?”

Everyone started heated discussions.

However, Ray knew Clarissa wasn’t in Merania. Besides, Damien was enraged. It wasn’t likely that he had gotten married to Clarissa.

“With who?” Ray asked.

“Chanel Kirk.”

Ray’s eyebrows knitted together. “Who? Is she a stranger?”

Damien rolled his eyes at Ray and went upstairs.

The crowd of people who were getting off work were fervently discussing who Damien’s new wife could be.

“Chanel Kirk. I’ve never heard of her…”

“Let’s see her when she visits the office.”

After reaching upstairs, Damien called for his assistant.

“Get me a fake certificate.”

“What kind of certificate?”

“A marriage certificate!”

The assistant immediately went off to follow orders.

Damien thought hard about it. Actually, he didn’t even need to ask Chanel for help. She would come over to Genovia and go along with him once she knew she had a chance, as he was on the outs with Clarissa.

Damien waited.

If Clarissa could do this to him, he would get even!
