I suppressed my frustration and reached out to Sylvia. She had always answered my calls without delay in the past, but now it felt like an uphill battle. No matter how many times I dialed, Sylvia remained unresponsive.

I felt unmotivated at work that day and secretly called Sylvia multiple times without Selena knowing, but she didn't answer. Before leaving, I called Sylvia once more, and at last, she answered.

"Hudson, why do you keep calling me?"

Perhaps I was frustrated that Sylvia didn't answer my calls. When she asked me this question, I couldn't hold back my anger. "Sylvia, why did you quit your job?"

Sylvia paused before awkwardly replying, "Are we doing this again?"

"Again?" I still felt very angry about what happened last time.

"You traveled all the way to Adenville, and now you're deciding to resign out of a sudden. Sylvia, why don't you discuss it with me first? What do I really mean to you? Am I still your boyfriend?"

"Hudson, you don't know anything," Sylvia said before hanging up without any explanation.

After she hung up, I was so agitated that I punched the wall. To my surprise, Zion happened to walk by and witnessed my outburst. I found this moment quite embarrassing.

He approached, glanced at the wall, and asked, "Why are you hitting the wall? Are you arguing with your partner?"

He approached me, gently patted my shoulder, and shook his head with a knowing look.
