On the other end, Julianne stared at the disconnected phone in disbelief. It took her a moment to process what had just happened.

Ever since she had told Irvin about the fabricated truth of the incident, he had always catered to her every need. No matter when, he would always come running at her call.

But now, instead of dropping everything to see her, he refused to come at all!
