Henry really believed what he said. He genuinely thought all of this was unnecessary.

In his eyes, now that I was doing well and had completely moved on from Irvin to be with another man, there was no reason for me to keep going after Julianne.

He thought that targeting her and making things difficult wouldn't benefit me in any way. So why couldn't I just be more forgiving and let everyone live in peace?
