A tall man was wiping sweat from the forehead of the pregnant woman beside him. Sensing mine and William's gazes, he looked over at us. When our eyes met, the unfamiliarity in his gaze only confirmed what I had suspected.

Noah hadn't contacted us, despite being alive, because he had lost his memory.

Just then, William's trusted aide walked over to give us a report on Noah's situation.

"Mr. Noah hit his head when he jumped out of the car, which led to him having amnesia. After recovering from his injuries, he ended up developing feelings for the person who saved him.

"That person is the pregnant woman beside him. She's four months pregnant, and the child she's carrying is Mr. Noah's."

The aide's report was pretty much in line with what William and I had guessed.

Even though Noah had lost his memories, he still had sharp instincts from his years of training. Hence, when we walked up and told him we were his family, he didn't seem all that surprised.

He simply wrapped an arm around the pregnant woman beside him, and said while looking at us, "This is my wife. If you want me to go back with you, you must accept her and treat her well!"

From the way William and I were dressed, the air we exuded, and our entourage, Noah could tell we came from wealth and status, and he did too. Meanwhile, his current wife came from a humble, rural background.

Because of this, he was worried we wouldn't accept her. After all, he had seen plenty of TV dramas that played out like this. Plus, art imitated life.

Noah had assumed William and I would be displeased and have difficulty accepting his wife. He hadn't expected at all that we would welcome her happily and with open arms.
