The twins were barely over three years old, and they had gone through such a traumatic shock. It was also long past their usual bedtime.

However, none of them wanted to leave or sleep at all. They just wanted to wait there for Irvin to wake up. William couldn't talk them out of it at all, and he also knew I wouldn't be able to rest as well. So, he decided to wait with us.

The two kids were cheerful and full of energy all the time, and it felt like they could tear the world apart with their boldness. Seeing how afraid they were at that moment, William couldn't help but hug them and feel bad for them.

Although Irvin was his rival in love, William still hoped he would survive. Even if Irvin's recovery meant that we would live together as a happy family and destroy all of William's hopes, he still wanted Irvin to get better.

William was no saint, and he also thought there was no such thing as true love before. Back then, he never would've thought there would be someone for him to love deeply at all.

The doctor said the first 72 hours were the most critical, and Irvin would wake up within that time frame if he could.
