Elspeth took a few steps forward and grabbed the woman by her chin, cutting the woman off. Then, she moved her face left and right to observe her.

“Let’s not talk about how evil you are. Your appearance alone is unsatisfactory.”

Agnes nodded upon hearing that. Something must have come to mind again when she lifted her chin and gingerly uttered, “Miss Lynwood, there is something I would like to ask.”

“What is it?” Elspeth was already expecting this.

“May I ask why you picked me out of so many people? I’m not the prettiest, nor the most talented.”

“In regard to your first question, I do think that you’re the most good-looking one among the bunch.”

Agnes was obviously taken aback. Even though people had praised her for being good-looking over the years, they wouldn’t say that she was the prettiest in the group. That was why she was somewhat surprised by Elspeth’s reply.

“As for the second question, how do you know you are not the most talented one if you haven’t tried?”

Agnes was completely convinced when she heard that. Every word this CEO of hers said seemed to make a lot of sense.

“Will you be that person?”
