“No, no, the big boss doesn’t want everyone to love him. He just wants the person he loves to love him back.” 

As I left the company, Xander’s words echoed in my ears. 

I found myself wondering what this boss looked like. 

Another strange thing was that the company’s records had no information about this big boss. Could it be that he had something to hide?

He didn’t pick up; he was probably busy. So I left him a message on WhatsApp. “Can you come to the Gildon estate with me tonight?” 

Since he didn’t answer the phone, I didn’t expect a quick reply to the message either. After sending it, I put my phone away and went into Glorious. 

“Ms. Crown, you’re here,” the owner greeted me warmly as soon as I entered. 

I was a regular customer, as I came every year to order a special and quite expensive set of calligraphy tools. 

Zack liked calligraphy, so he used up a lot of brushes and ink every year. This was something he loved and would use. 

“Mr. Robertson, do you have any new good–quality brushes this year?” I asked while browsing. 

“Yes, yes, the best ones are over here. Don’t bother with the others, you won’t like them as much,” the owner guided me. 

Although he said that, I still looked over everything as usual before arriving at the case he mentioned. 

One set of dark green brushes immediately caught my eye. “Can I see this one?” 

“Of course!“He carefully took it out. “This is the latest model that has just been released.” 

This was a subtle compliment to my good taste. 

I examined it closely. The craftsmanship and materials were indeed excellent, so I decided on the spot. Mr. Robertson, I’ll take this one.” 

However, he didn’t agree immediately. I looked up to see a troubled expression on his face. “Ms. Crown, this set has already been reserved.”
