Chapter 905 

“Kiki, I promise to give you an opening ceremony that will surprise and delight you. Please agree, will you?” Hayden pleaded, holding Keira’s hand like a spoiled child. 

He rarely pressed her for anything, and his insistence puzzled her. But seeing his sincerity, she could only nod. “Fine, but don’t turn my courtyard into a chaotic iness, and definitely don’t invite irrelevant people.” 

This small courtyard was her serene haven. She enjoyed making tea for visitors and watching the sunrise and breeze when alone–it was enough for her. 

“As you wish, Mrs. Hart,” he exclaimed, excitement lighting up his face before he kissed her swiftly on the cheek. 

However, after the kiss, he didn’t let go. Instead, he gazed at her for a few seconds before his lips landed on hers again. 

It had been a long time since they kissed so passionately. As his kisses deepened and his arms tightened around her, she could clearly feel the changes in his body. 

Keira was already past her third month of pregnancy, so it seemed like… perhaps it wasn’t entirely out of the question for him to want something more. 

Even though she thought this, she still felt uneasy. She made a mental note to consult Lena Hayden, too, stopped himself at the last moment. His face was flushed, his breath ragged as he rested his forehead against hers, eyes closed. “The universe’s sense of equality between men and women is truly strong.” 

Keira’s breathing was just as erratic. “What do you mean?” 

“It makes women endure the burden of carrying a child for ten months and makes men endure ten months of restraint,” he said, making her burst into laughter. 

She mischievously slipped her hand under his pajamas, feeling his burning skin. “But men can stray, while women can’t ‘unload the goods‘ halfway. Seems a bit unfair, doesn’t it?” 

The veins on Hayden’s forehead throbbed visibly as he suppressed his reaction. “I wouldn’t.” 

“If you’re really struggling…” Keira began, but before she could finish, his eyes snapped 

open. 

There was a smoldering intensity in his gaze, a mix of suppressed desire and a sharp edge that sent a shiver down her spine. That look–it was fierce. 

She pinched him playfully through his clothes. What’s with the glare? I was going to suggest you take a cold shower if you’re struggling. Did you think I was giving you

Keira leaned closer, her lips brushing his ear as she whispered, “I’ll have that thing of yours removed.”

Before she could pull back, Hayden clasped the back of her head and whispered into her ear, his voice dark and low, “If he dares betray you, I’ll destroy him myself.” 

His words sent an inexplicable tremor through her. There was no mistaking his seriousness. 

“For this lifetime,” Hayden continued, his tone firm, “he, just like me, will only ever belong to you.” 

After a soft kiss, he got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. 

A moment later, Keira heard the sound of running water. Staring at the bathroom door, she could almost feel the chill seeping out from within. 

She let out a long breath, lay back on the bed, and stared at the ceiling for a while. Finally, she picked up her phone and sent Lena a message: The baby is over three months old now. Have we entered the safe period yet? 

Her reply came instantly: What’s this? Someone’s feeling a little hungry? 

Trust Lena to get straight to the point. Keira didn’t bother circling around and asked directly: Just tell me–yes or no? 

Lena: Yes, but make sure to take it easy. Nothing too vigorous. 

A few seconds later, another voice message popped up: “I can’t believe that Hayden, who always looks so proper, can’t control himself either. Can’t he wait a little longer?” 

Keira smirked and replied with a voice message of her own: “Of course he’s waiting! He’s taking a cold shower as we speak. Do you think everyone can be as self–restrained as your Uncle Ace? Sitting beside such a stunning beauty like you every day and never losing his composure?” 

After sending the message, Keira didn’t receive any response. What she didn’t realize was that her message was not only heard by Lena but also by Aaron himself.
