Avery, who was still on the ground, burned with jealousy when she saw Tyler hugging Vicky. She subconsciously dug her nails into her palms.

'It's okay, Avery. It's okay. Tyler will be mine sooner or later,' she mentally repeated to calm herself down.

Tyler had been poisoned by a very unique poison, with Avery being the only person in the world who had the antidote. The poison and the hypnotic control Tyler was under was a potent combination that could not be easily undone.

'They'll never have a day of peace as long as I'm alive! Sometimes, giving up is the better option since not doing so will only push one further into the abyss of despair,' thought Avery.

After calming Tyler, Vicky turned to Isabella and Harvey. "The two of us will go now."

"Someone from the Hart family is in on this."

"Yes. I think Old Mister Hart is in on it, too." Harvey looked outside the window. "He's one heck of an old fox. He might not have done the dirty deed himself, but the fact that we came up empty-handed in our investigation is proof enough that this has his name written all over it."

"It sounds like everyone is staunchly against Mister Hart being with his wife."
