Vicky answered the call.

"Vicky, are you free tonight?" asked Avery. "If you are, bring your boyfriend over to meet me."

Vicky scoffed. "Why should I listen to you?"

"Why? How about because I have a video that could ruin your life?"

"How long do you plan to blackmail with that?"

"Hey, you have no one else to blame but yourself. This wouldn't have happened if you didn't seduce my fiance!"

"Well, I wouldn't have succeeded if he was happy with you!"

"Vicky Shaw, just how shameless can you be?" shrieked Avery. "How can you still be so cocky after seducing someone else's fiance?! You sl*t! B*tch! C*nt!"

Aurora could hear every curse word Avery spewed from where she was sitting.

Vicky could not care less about the insults, and she was about to hang up when Avery suddenly said, "I'll hand over the video to you and promise I'll never use it to blackmail you again if you come over tonight. What do you say?"

Vicky's thumb froze right above the 'End Call' button. "You promise?"

"Do you really think I'll be able to blackmail you forever with that video? The longer I hold onto it, the less damage it'll do to you since you'll take a preemptive strike before I leak the video. If I've guessed correctly, your PR team must've prepared a script for you to defuse the situation, right?"

After a moment of silence, Vicky simply said, "Time and place."

"Same time and same place as last night."

"Okay."

"Vicky, what video was she talking about?" Aurora asked after Vicky ended the call.

Vicky told her everything about the blackmail.

"Oh, I see. Well, I guess that can't be helped. Let's have dinner without him, then," said Avery.

During the dinner, Avery kept asking Vicky about her boyfriend. Vicky only gave her short answers meant to deter her from asking more questions.

"Vicky, I can't help but wonder what your boyfriend looks like since you seem so reluctant to let us meet him. Aren't you curious too, Tyler?" Avery asked with a smile.

Tyler glanced at Vicky. "Yeah."

"Oh well, we shouldn't force her to do something she doesn't want to do." Avery looped her arm around Tyler's. "I guess we should head home now that dinner's finished."

After saying goodbye, Vicky got up from the table and walked out of the restaurant.

'Did she really ask me out to dinner just to inquire about my boyfriend?'

Vicky was mulling over the question when a horde of reporters suddenly rushed up to her.
