Avery never expected Tyler to be that heartless. It was as if his mask was finally off, his true colors revealed.

Avery knew part of the reason Tyler chose her was because of her family's fortune, but she did not care. Her family's fortune was just as much as her as her beauty. She also knew there was a chance Tyler might dump her after he rose to the position of head of the Hart family, but she told herself he was a loyal man.
