Vicky nodded, her expression determined. "It's better to make things clear sooner or later."

Tyler's expression grew even colder.

"You don't have to answer me in a hurry. Take your time to think it over, and then give me your response," Vicky added.

She stood up. "It's getting late. I'll rest now."

Vicky displayed remarkable composure, even a sense of confidence.

For the sake of their child, Tyler had let go of hatred and his plans, so there was no reason for him not to grant her freedom. At this point, their child was the most important thing to him, and a bond connected by blood might just temper his extreme thoughts.

The following day, after a night of contemplation, Tyler eventually agreed to her proposal. "I accept your terms, but with a modification," he said indifferently. "You'll stay here until you give birth, and I need to ensure the safety of the child's birth."
