Clay likes me? I thought he and Alec were teasing me. I know about the rejection he suffered from a female Lycan. That was two years ago, and it was confirmed that I couldn't move an inch when I found them kissing and making out. I was sure that that female Lycan was his first because he was still very young. I don't get how he knew she was his when he didn't have a wolf yet when he got rejected.

Clay is exceptional. He got his wolf last year when he was about to turn 17. That's why he was chosen as Joric's future beta. Britney is not fit for the position, not because she's a she-wolf, but because she is just a beta's daughter. Besides that, nothing else She does have a wolf, but she is not good at fighting.

"Clay.." I said this as I saw his face go down until his lips touched mine. I like him. He could be the best for me. He has been around me for as long as I can remember, and choosing him as my mate is not wrong. I welcomed the kiss, even if Pi was sending me a warning. I don't care about that anymore. He had been with a different female lycan, and I was alone the whole time.

We were both savoring the kiss we shared when we heard a growl. We stopped and looked at where it came from, only for my eyes to widen in shock. Our eyes met, and I don't know what happened because he suddenly yelled,

"MINEEEE..." I worried for Clay when he looked at him, so I covered him with my body when he approached him.

"You dare defend him?" he asked angrily. Yes, he was angry, and I understood him. Anyone would feel that way when they found their mate kissing another man.

"You're approaching us as though you are going to kill him," I replied.

"What do you want me to do? I caught you two kissing! You allow him to kiss you, knowing you had a mate!" He said angrily, "You know I am your mate!!" he added. 

"Frey," Clay said,

"Don't you fu****g call her that way!!" he shouted,

"Can you stop shouting?" I said it with irritation.

"And you dare talk back to me?" 

"It's because you're shouting. Can't you keep your calm?" I asked.

"You wanted me to be calm after what I saw? What do you think of me, Freya?" he asked angrily.

"You are the Lycan Prince; you should know how to act like one."

"You are my mate. You should know what you should have done," he replied.

"Would you believe me when I called you mine the moment you came out of your SUV when you arrived here? With your woman?" I asked, and he was speechless.

"I thought so. I had already given up when I had to endure so much pain because you were with that female Lycan. We bumped into each other, but you never took notice of me. Do you expect me to wait until you smell my scent? That's not going to happen. I don't know how or when you found out, but that doesn't give you a reason to get mad at me or what I am doing." I said, then looked at Clay, "Come on, Mom prepared dinner for us." I told him, smiling, and started to walk away.

"Kevin, go to Alpha's office and tell Daniel that we will be talking tomorrow," Matteo said, and then he was in front of me.

"You know your way home, right?" he asked Clay, which made him look at me and then back to him before he nodded. "Then go home after you tell her parents that I will be taking her with me to the villa," he said, taking my hand.

"What?" I asked, surprised.

"You heard me; don't make me repeat it."

"No, I need to go home." I insisted, which made him angry again.

"You didn't want to come with me, your mate, but allow him to kiss you?"

"Not a chance," he said, walking faster until we reached his room. He opened it, and I was angry when I saw that female lycan on his bed.

"Put me down!" I shouted,

"What the fu** are you doing here?" Matteo shouted while he put me down, but his hand was still on my waist.

"Why did you bring that bitch here?" Eunice asked angrily as she stood up from the bed. We heard heavy footsteps coming, and there came his future beta.

"What is she doing here, Calvin?" he asked angrily.

"I don't know, and I ordered the warrior to bring her back to the palace," Calvin replied and looked at me. "Hello, Your Highness." He greeted me, bowing his head.

"Are you nuts?" I asked him, and he laughed.

"I guess everything's not yet settled with you and his highness. We will leave you two alone then," he replied, looking at Eunice. "Come with me before I kill you," he said angrily. Fear was all over that bitch’s female Lycan as she came to Calvin.

"Eunice, see to it that you follow orders, or I am going to deal with you myself," Matteo said before they left the bedroom. I'm sure that that bitch knew that Matteo would do just that if she ever disobeyed him.

"You sit there," he said, looking at the bed where he was asking me to sit.

"There's no way I will sit in there."

"I would do as I said if I were you, Freya," he said. That scared me, but I didn't want him to know that, so I stared back at him. I don't care what he does to me, but I will not do what he wants.
