Freya has a point, and it calmed my beast. I admit that I felt hurt when she told me that she had not told her parents about us yet. Thinking about how surprised the pack was earlier, she has a good reason not to rush things between us. She had been bullied, and even if she was not a pushover, I still need to consider that she was hesitant towards me at first because she had no scent and none of us could smell her.

She was adopted. Calvin told me after he asked about her around the pack. That may be the reason why the others didn't care about her, plus the fact that she had no scent. What made me think was, why can't she just tell them that she has her wolf? When she fought with Britney, she indirectly told Jack about that, but I don't think he took it seriously or that any of them believed her.

"She left." Calvin said, "I told Kevin to follow her," he added, and I nodded. "What happened?" he asked again. I sighed before I sat back in bed and told him what had happened.

"You cannot blame her, you know," he said. "She found out about you the moment we arrived, and she had no idea how she was going to tell you because she knew that you wouldn't be able to smell her scent. Let's be real; you know well that when she confronted you while you were with Eunice, announcing you were hers, you would never believe her either."

"But I will be able to know that once I look into her eyes," I replied.

"Something she had no idea about; I doubt if anyone here knew that either." I was silent for a moment and got his point. But the pain I feel because I feel like I was the only one who wanted her

"She was willing to let me go and considered taking Clay as her chosen mate." I told him, "I saw them kissing, then found out that she was mine later. Do you know how painful it was? I heard them talking. I heard her tell him that she already has a mate and has no intention of saying or claiming it."

"Who?"

"No idea. But I am sure. I had already captured the rogue, and I was lucky to find someone who knows a lot about it."

"Let's not talk about that. Now that we have already found some clues, when are you going to bring Her Highness to the palace and meet the King?"

"We will leave two days from now," I replied, and he nodded. I'm sure that he wanted to go back to the palace as well, especially if he didn't find his mate here. The reason he was willing to come with me was because his mate might be somewhere he had never been. So he joined me here just in case she was just in the pack as well.

"I think the king will have his answer for all of these." and that's what I believe too. I hope that Dad has some information about the second chance mates. I, too, need not forget about the fact that Freya might be in danger.

"I have to go to see Freya and talk to her parents about her coming with us back to the palace," I said, and we stood up. I know that he is with me and will do anything for my mate as well, because she is his future queen.

Being the Lycan Prince and future King, I shouldn't feel nervous about anything. But because I knew how Freya was, I couldn't help but feel that way. She never invited me to her house even once, and even if she came with me to the villa at the end of the day after the tournament, we still didn't get intimate with each other.

Her wolf was in her transformation stage, and the last full moon was the fifth one since I came here, so she will only need another one to fully transform into a Lycan. I opted to wait for that before I claimed her, so it would be less painful. Until then, I have to control myself and my beast, and I hope that he will not give me a hard time.
