Chapter 1293

Melody’s words clearly explained what Duke meant.

Ninian quickly found it awkward, and her face

immediately turned red. She felt embarrassed as she glanced at her father and muttered, “Daddy, I’m sorry…‘

Duke snorted without looking at Ninian, but he ruthlessly glared at Everett.

It’s all this brat’s fault for stealing his baby daughter’s heart.

Luckily, he still had another sweetheart who understood him.

Duke felt comforted as he looked at Melody, but she had already returned to her original position. She smiled and looked into Brooklyn in the eyes affectionately.

Duke was speechless.

He became angrier. He swung his sleeve, sneered, and said, “I don’t have the medication. Let Everett bear it on his own.”

Ninian opened her eyes widely. Her clear eyes started becoming teary again.

Adina did not know whether she should cry or laugh.

She glared at Duke, who was angry at the kids, before she

held Ninian’s hand and said, “Don’t worry. I’ve brought back the medication. We will let Everett try it.”

After being exposed by his wife, Duke stroked his nose. and moved to the side.

Adina took out a dark–colored steel box from her bag before she lifted the lid. There was a silver pill.

“This is the pill that we developed that can resist the control of the smart chip temporarily. The effective time is twenty minutes. Do you want to try?”

She handed it to Everett and tenderly spoke.

Everett raised her head, glanced at her, and said, “Thank you.”

Duncan nodded before he immediately started leading the way.

The effective time of Everett’s pill was only twenty minutes, so he was more worried and anxious than anyone else.

Soon, the group of people went to the basement.

Rowan’s basement was in terrible condition, so Duncan let the subordinates transfer him out, tie him to the pillar outside, and wake him up by pouring cold water on him.

Upon being triggered, Rowan became conscious. After he jolted up, he started trembling.

When he raised his head, he realized that he had been transferred to another place, and a few people stood in

front of him.

He was the most familiar with Duncan, and he also knew Ninian at the side. He had a blurry impression of the two people in the middle.

He found them familiar, but he could not recognize them.
