Chapter 517

Adina felt defeated too.

She sat by the bed before she lifted the lid of the porridge. She spooned up some, put it to the man’s lips, and calmly said, “Open your mouth.”

Duke opened his mouth obediently.

The bland porridge swirled around on his lips and tongue before he swallowed it.

It was the most delicious porridge that he had ever eaten.

He smiled faintly and slowly said, “I want more.”

“Do you know what you look like now?” Adina looked at him with a faint smile and asked in a meaningful way.

Duke did not understand. “What do I look like?”

Adina wanted to say “a stray dog,” but she held back.

“You look like Harold,” she said helplessly.

“You’re wrong. He should be the one who looks like me.” Duke did not feel embarrassed at all. “He’s my son. If he doesn’t look like me, who else could he look like?”

Okay.

Adina could not argue back.

As though she had surrendered to fate, she kept feeding Duke again and again.

That went on until someone else suddenly pushed open the ward door at the back. Soon after, they heard a frivolous voice. “Oh, wow! We didn’t see anything!”

Trent covered his eyes as soon as he entered and even covered Eilam’s eyes with his other hand.

He paused for a while and said, “Remember to attend my engagement party on the sixth next month.”

Trent appeared completely shocked. “Are you going to get engaged to Adina? What the heck?! You’re going as fast as a rocket!”

“If they’re really following a rocket’s pace, they should just get married,” Eilam said. “But Duke, can your sons accept Adina as their stepmother?”

Duke nonchalantly answered, “I forgot to tell you something. Adina and I had a one-night affair five years ago. We have four children in total.”

“What the f*ck?” Eilam said.

Trent followed with, “What the heck?! What the f*ck?”

It took them five minutes before they could barely accept and digest the news.
