“No, it'll never happen again." He would never leave his wife and his children in danger ever again.

George’s eyes were a little red.

“Daddy, when can we go home?"

 "We need to wait till I settle things here first, then Daddy will take you all home.” Duke Scooped the children up in his arms in one sweeping motion.

Alden squirmed.

“Daddy, Mommy's been through a lot, you have to treat Mommy better from now on.” Duke stroked his head.

“Of course!” Seeing her husband hugging the children , Adina's eyes welled up in tears.

It was an ordinary thing, so why was she moved by this? The children had woken up in the middle of the night, now they felt sleepy again.

Duke made two trips to their rooms to tuck them into their beds.

It was getting quite late.

"I'm sorry Addy, I have to go.” Duke pulled the woman into an embrace.

His voice was hoarse.

"Give me a week to settle things with the Black Party matters.Please take care of the children in the meantime.Don’t worry about me.” Adina nodded.

“Your father is in prison awaiting his trial, are you here to accompany him?”. Isabelle shuddered.

A few days ago, when her father and Elder Dorien were transporting firearms, they were intercepted by Terry.

There had been a clash.

In the end, her father and Elder Dorien were arrested.Her father was very old, there was no way he could survive in a gloomy and cold prison.She had to get him out of there.She could not sleep the whole night, so she had decided to wait here.
