Jasmine's response made Dillon's expression turn completely cold. 

“Even you can run for the heir position when you're not a member of the Jones family.Why can’t Addy?” His gaze was disapproving.

“Besides, Addy is the real Ms.Jones.If I hear the term 'illegitimate daughter' again, I'm going to ask you to stop calling me ‘Uncle.”  Jasmine widened her eyes in disbelief.

Uncle Dillon had always pampered her the most, and he would give her the best.

However, he was saying such cruel things to her now.

Adina was clearly an illegitimate daughter.

Why could she not say that? Just as she was about to refute, Zhenny stopped her.

Zhenny’s expression was also sullen.She knew that nothing good would come of it when Adina suddenly wanted to return to the Jones family.

Dillon indifferently said, “Addy is the descendent of the Jones family, so she is qualified to be in the running.It's what Addy deserves, so outsiders can stop barking.” 

"Uncle, can’t you see Adina’s intentions?” Jasmine could no longer hold back.

She angrily said, "She's only willing to rejoin the Jones family because she wants to be the heir!Her ambition is so obvious.You're the one who still believes that she wants you to be her father!” 

“What about you? Why are you trying to be the heir, then?” A displeased Dillon asked her in return.

As an elder, he did not want to confront his junior in public, but Jasmine really let him down.

His love for her for so many years had been a waste.
