When Adina walked out to the entrance, she saw a black car parked at the exit, keeping a low profile. She smiled faintly and walked over. Before she reached the car, Duke got out of the driver‘s seat and helped her open the passenger side door. 

The man bent down and carefully fastened her seat belt for her before he said in a deep voice, “Why did you drink wine?” 

“I just took a few sips,” Adina said casually. “When did you get here?” 

Duke returned to the driver seat, held the steering wheel, and said, “I just arrived.” 

He drove the car slowly on the road, and his low, deep voice rang out in the car. 

‘I should‘ve attended the reunion banquet with you today.” Adina was stunned but immediately understood it. She guessed that the incident at the banquet tonight had ended up on the news. Sophia had mocked her, the reporters had hounded her, and people at the banquet had criticized her. The netizens were probably discussing  all those incidents.  Duke must have specifically browsed through news  articles that were related to her. 

She held his hand, smiled faintly, and said, “If you had shown up with me, the netizens would be saying that the Winters couple is disfigured, and the reason behind is shocking! The netizens are incredibly nosy. Perhaps they would come up with a lame love story.” 

Duke chuckled. 

He had undergone facial reconstruction surgery yesterday, and his face was still wrapped in gauze, so he could not appear in the spotlight.
