Chapter 214 The Auction
Lamia felt uneasy hearing that.
"Oh, it's not final yet. They are just dating, so my son is still available!"
Jane was nobody compared with Amanda and Baxter's daughter.
Amanda smiled meaningfully and called out to Anastasia, who was having snacks not far away,
"Sweetie, come and say hello to Mrs. Lamia Patterson and Ms. Emma Patterson."
Anastasia hesitated but still walked over and nodded politely.
"Mrs. Lamia Patterson, Ms. Emma Patterson."
Lamia wasn't happy to see her.
"I didn't expect Mrs. Amanda Graves to know this woman. Please don't be fooled by her innocent appearance!"
Amanda looked at her and said plainly, "Don't worry, Mrs. Lamia Patterson. Anastasia is the sweetest thing to me!"
As she was speaking, a man in a well-fitting suit came over.
"Hello, Mrs. Amanda Graves. I would have picked you guys up if I knew you were coming with Anastasia!"
Jaxon smiled gently and looked at Anastasia.
Anastasia smiled back and nodded slightly.
Emma's expression changed instantly.
Jaxon ignored her completely. He just walked to Anastasia.
"I just met a friend in the same business as you. Do you want me to introduce you?"
Anastasia raised her eyebrows. "Of course!"
Amanda nodded to consent. So Anastasia left with Jaxon.
Lamia couldn't help but roll her eyes.
"Jaxon seems to know you."
Amanda smiled. "Of course, I regard him as my future son-in-law!"
Emma's body froze suddenly. Her face turned pale, and her eyes reddened.
Out of the blue, she covered her face and ran out.
Anastasia swang for a while and stopped the swing with her feet. She looked up at Jaxon.
"What's wrong, Mr. Stanford?"
Jaxon paused and remained silent for a few seconds before speaking, "I miss Marlandia."
"Why don't you return there?"
"I can't see you in Marlandia," Jaxon said casually.
Anastasia was momentarily taken aback, as if someone had pinched her heart. What a strange feeling.
They locked eyes, and Jaxon's eyes were deep and pretty, making Anastasia's heart flutter.
Anastasia couldn't help but look away.
Jaxon's collar was slightly open, making him seem more gentlemanlike. Seeing Anastasia shy, he smiled and said gently, "Why don't you go to Marlandia with me?"
Anastasia frowned slightly. "Jaxon, we are just friends."
Jaxon smiled. "Forget it. I'll stay here."
She didn't answer him directly, but he already knew the answer.
