Third Person's POV
The two of them sat in silence, side by side. One didn't wanna believe what he said and the other dreaded telling her about it.
"It all started a month after you left..." He took a deep breath as if encouraging himself.
"My temper was over the roof. I would get mad at even the most harmless things, like the bed sheet being crinkled or the cup being placed on the wrong side of the plate. I'd snap at anyone, fire them or threaten to kill them. I was bad" Hayden looked at Fallon from his peripheral vision.
She was still, looking at a distance. Through from outside she was looking impassive but inside it was all a jumble, she couldn't pin point what she was feeling or what she is suppose to.
"The girls would regularly come, everytime new woman not a single girl would come here twice. I would be disgusted just by looking at them or being in their presence. I felt like they had a contaminated air around them, they were simply repulsive I guess. Everytime I wanted to sleep with someone, all I saw was soft black hair, warm brown eyes with full eyebrows and ample cheeks..." She hated that he mentioned those girls, jealousy was running in her veins. All she wanted to do was, push her man down on the bed and take full control over him; show him that no one in the entire fucking world can satisfy him as her. But she kept her urges in bay.
"It was as if I was being haunted, I didn't wanna touch a body that didn't have wide hips, thick thighs, full breast and that petite body that fit perfectly against mine. When I forced myself to have sex with other even though I resented it, I could only hear your moans. The way you softly pant or whimper, the way your hair is scatter around my pillow like a halo. Everything about you was innocent but lethal." Her heart melted hearing all those things. He sat stiff for the next part when things began to get worst.
"One day I was back home in New York, I saw a woman with black hair, she had frame just like yours but I saw from the back. She had a guy's arm wrapped around her waist. She was hugging him and kissing him, I was seething in jealousy but I snapped when I saw that guy go down on his knees and bring a ring out of his pocket.
I got up from the bench and took whatever weapon that was in front of me, which happened to be a metal trash bin.
I went straight to them and smashed the bin on his head" he hears a gasp from her mouth, he was so disappointed in himself that he couldn't look at her. Afraid that he'll only see disgust and disdain.
He looked at the space recalling the next events. It's true he didn't want to tell her but as if he has any choice.
"The woman screamed on top of her voice when she saw the boy laying on the ground unconscious. I didn't pay any mind to anything. I just went in front of her and fell on my knees. I wrapped my arms around her waist and profusely asked her to give me one more chance. She just slapped me, only then I looked up. It wasn't you, it was some other girl. I should have guessed when I held her in my arms! Gosh I feel so stupid!! Her waist was curvaceous but a little smaller!!" He rubbed his face in embarrassment
"I apologized to her and took the guy to the hospital. I payed for the entire treatment and even gave 250 hundred dollars as an apology. The girl was about to call for the police in the park when I told her about how I mistook her for you!" He explained further.
"But that's not what forced me to the hospital. All my workers were deathly afraid of bring their girlfriend/boyfriend here. I was jealous of the relationship they had, I destroyed mine but my pride was too big to admit it *sigh*
One day when I was hanging out with my group and let me tell you there are a lot of couples in it. When I saw them kissing and saying 'i love you' I went crazy, I attacked them. Thank god my brother was there; he knocked me unconscious. Next time I woke up I was trapped in a straitjacket, my parents and my entire friend circle was there in the room.
That was the first time I cried when I told them about you. My sister in law suggested that I should take a break and get myself checked. After a lot of arguements I agreed and here I am now!"
Both of them sat in silence, Hayden desperately wanted to her to say something... anything. He didn't like her silence, it was cutting him deep.
"All these years I thought I was the only one suffering. I wanted to forget you so badly that I went to critical extend. Why didn't you come for me Hayden? You're a powerful man, it would only take you a few minutes to find me. Why didn't you come for me earlier?" She asked, the only question that has been bugging her all this while.
Hayden chuckled, "who said I didn't went out to find you? I did found you, 3 years ago after fighting with myself or my ego if you say. I was shattered. It's numbed my soul to see you moved on. I went to the hospital where you were an intern at that time, I brought your favourite flowers. I was dressed in my finest suit, had your favourite wine and chocolates. But when I reached your office, I could only hear your moaning, the soft moaning that I love. I cannot begin to explain how heartbroken I felt. My entire world crumbled down when I peeked from the door.
You were on the table with your legs spread and a man pounding in you." Hayden recalled how devastated he felt, he legs wobbled and his heart stopped beating for a moment. He though he would better be dead than to have ever seen that soul crumbling scene.
