Persephone tiptoed to run her fingers through his hair when a distant rumble echoed in the sky. Southeast Aciatic's weather was unpredictable—just moments ago, there were clear skies, and now dark clouds loomed, carrying a damp scent in the air.

Before she could react, large raindrops started falling.

Morpheus hastily pulled her into his arms and dashed in a certain direction.

"Where are you taking me?" Persephone urgently asked. "Our car isn't there!"

"The car is down the mountain, and going downhill with this downpour is risky!" Morpheus glanced at her. "There's a cave nearby. Let's take shelter there for now!"

Persephone froze, but as the rain intensified, she had no choice but to follow him.
