Selina’s words sounded like she was giving the Clark Family an easy way out—shifting the blame onto an insignificant person to protect the Morris Family’s reputation.

Joe thought for a while, then looked at Katie with clear disdain.

If she weren’t Angelica’s adoptive mother, he would have gotten rid of her a long time ago.

"This time Selina’s letting it go. But next time, someone else might not. If Angelica keeps offending powerful families for Katie’s sake, it won’t end well for her."

Joe’s face turned even uglier.

He knew they were right. Why had Angelica ended up grabbing rings and getting called a mistress? It was all because of Katie’s greed!
