Logan narrowed his eyes slightly, instantly noticing her tension.

He didn’t expose her. "Justin is the eldest son of the Gray Family. He owns a racetrack. I happen to have two invitations—how about I take you horseback riding to relax?"

Selina nearly choked on her breath, bracing herself for Logan’s interrogation.

To her surprise, he instead offered to take her riding?

Wait... so he didn’t suspect her connection to Justin?

Her nerves still taut, she raised her voice slightly in guilt. "Uh, uh? Horseback riding? Sure..."

Logan chuckled softly, his expression thoughtful.

He maintained a gentle demeanor. "Why are you so excited, Mrs. Reid? You’re even stammering. Do you know how to ride?"

Selina’s throat tightened. Someone who grew up in the countryside like her shouldn’t know how to ride, so she shook her head.

"No, I don’t... I was just thinking you could teach me, so I got a little excited."

Logan’s gaze swept over her eyes. "You want me to teach you?"

Selina nodded, feeling even more flustered.

Logan smirked meaningfully. "Fine, Mrs. Reid. When I have the time, I’ll teach you."

Half an hour later, they arrived at the racetrack.

Selina spent the car ride strategizing on how to convincingly act like someone who had never ridden a horse.

But as soon as they got out of the car, the racetrack manager approached them. "Mr. Reid, Mr. Gray has requested to meet with you about an important matter."

Logan’s eyes narrowed slightly as he paused and glanced at Selina.

"Mrs. Reid, why don’t you enjoy yourself for a bit?"

Afraid of revealing her secret, Selina was all too happy to agree and nodded eagerly.

Still... what did Justin want with Logan?

After Logan’s figure disappeared, Selina began wandering around the racetrack.

As she waited idly for Logan’s return, a loud neigh suddenly caught her attention.

Turning toward the sound, her eyes lit up immediately.

Standing before her was a snow-white horse with a small black mark on its leg. She recognized it instantly—it was the same horse she used to care for in Country B.

She hadn’t expected Justin to bring her horse back when he returned to the country.

Selina was about to approach when she overheard an argument nearby, causing her to pause mid-step.

"I want this horse! Don’t you know who I am?!"

Selina narrowed her eyes and glanced over.

Vivian?

Vivian had arrived with a group of young socialites and had taken a liking to the snow-white horse at first sight.

However, the racetrack manager firmly refused to let her have it. Frustrated and angry, Vivian snapped, "I’m the eldest daughter of the Perry Family! Do you dare offend the Perry Family?!"

The manager, caught in a difficult position, lowered his head and tried to explain. "Miss Perry, you may choose any other horse on the premises, but this one already has an owner..."

"If it has an owner, then where is that owner?" Vivian stomped her foot and turned to a man beside her with a pitiful look. "Dylan, they’re obviously looking down on me and bullying me!"

Dylan, one of Vivian’s many suitors, immediately scowled at the manager upon hearing her complaint.

"Vivian wants this horse. Don’t you understand plain language? If you upset me, I’ll make sure you regret it. Now, get out of my sight!"

"But Mr. Gray specifically instructed..."

The manager tried to protest, but Dylan grabbed the reins of the white horse and sneered, "Then go ahead and tell Mr. Gray to come here himself. A servant like you has no right to stop me."

The manager clenched his fists in silent frustration. Faced with these powerful individuals, he dared not escalate the situation further.
