Chapter 372
“Why?” Eugene looked at her warily, wondering what she was up to.
“Will
you come home with me and pretend to be my boyfriend?”
“I refuse.”
“Please!” Sarah shook his arm. “Come back with me and tell my dad you’re my boyfriend so he won’t push me anymore.” She didn’t think her dad would say no since Eugene’s family had money. It was also part of her plan. Once Eugene agreed to pretend to be her boyfriend, he would never escape her. She was so sure about this
plan.
Eugene said, “I’m busy.”
“What are you going to do?” Sarah looked at him curiously. “I can wait for you. Are you going out for lunch? Can you take me with you?”
Eugene said, “It’s not convenient.”
“Take me with you! I can pretend to be your girlfriend!” Sarah looked at him expectantly.
Eugene glanced at her and then at Cristina. His attitude suddenly changed. “Okay.” It was no big deal for him to take Sarah out to lunch!
After breakfast, Eugene took Sarah out and Theresa and Cristina were outside preparing to leave.
“Eugene,” Theresa greeted him.
Sarah was worried that Theresa would come after her, but since Theresa had seen her, she didn’t have to hide.
Theresa put her arm around her shoulders. “Don’t cry. I’m here. I’ll introduce a man who’s much better than him
to you.”
“Deal,” Cristina whispered sadly. She was usually very strong, but she was very vulnerable at the moment.
Theresa and Cristina took the children to the park and took some videos.
Theresa went home to see her dad and get some stuff. She got a message and address from Charlie when she got back. [Come here for lunch.]
[With who?] She knew there must be others.
[Eugene.]
